TO ALL HONEST PERSONS IN MEXICO AND IN THE WORLD
Compañeros and compañeras, brothers and sisters, we
emphatically denounce the CIOAQUISTA paramilitaries organized by the three
levels of the evil governments against our support base peoples of the
Zapatista Army of National Liberation-EZLN.
Because on March 16th of the year in progress
when we were realizing a campaign for the other autonomous health with our
Zapatista peoples, located in the General Emiliano Zapata autonomous
municipality with a seat in Amador Hernández, the CIOAQUISTA paramilitaries from
La Realidad stopped our Junta de Buen Gobierno’s truck which was transporting
the medicine for our campaign, with the pretext of the two trucks of gravel
which our support base compañeros from La Realidad provided, for the
construction of a dormitory for promoters in the autonomous municipal clinic in
the San Pedro Michoacán municipality with seat in La Realidad.
1.- As the pretext: before there was an agreement for them
to use the gravel. But the paramilitaries from La Realidad are using it to
construct coops and pens which the evil governments give them as a dignified house,
but the paramilitaries no longer allow our compañeros to use that gravel, it
was the pretext for this.
As paramilitaries, organized by the three levels of the evil
governments prepared for the counterinsurgency campaign, they provoked our
Zapatista compañeros and went against the Junta de Buen Gobierno, because
instead of stopping the truck which transported the gravel, they stopped the
vehicle which is at the service of the health of thousands of Zapatistas, they
never wanted to understand to resolve, and the leader of the CIOAQUISTA
paramilitaries is ejidal commissioner Javier López Rodríguez, paramilitary
agent Carmelino Rodríguez Jiménez, Jaime Rodríguez Gómes, Eduardo Santiz
Santiz, Álvaro Santiz Rodríguez, Oscar Rodríguez Gómez.
This is a pretext of provocation for the gravel, because
there is an agreement in the community that the gravel is communal, the
CIOAQUISTA paramilitaries from La Realidad they are using the gravel for the
construction of coops and pens which the evil government calls a dignified home.
So the compañeros thought that they have the same right to
use.
The paramilitaries from La Realidad are paid, organized,
directed, and trained by the three levels of the evil governments to divide us,
provoke our Zapatista peoples and the Zapatista autonomous government, they
turned the thing around, they went against the Junta de Buen Gobierno.
As a Junta we wanted to resolve but they never wanted to
understand, because the CIOAQUISTA paramilitary leaders from La Realidad they
are the ones who carry their people against the Junta de Buen Gobierno and like
this it could not be resolved and they dragged the Junta de Buen Gobierno’s
truck to the ejidal house which today is in their hands.
2.- Seeing like this as a Junta de Buen Gobierno we believed
that there was understanding with the other CIOAQUISTA HISTORICA paramilitary
leaders that is to say the paramilitary leaders Luis Hernández, José Antonio
Vázquez Hernández, Roberto Alfaro Velasco, Alfredo Cruz Calvo, Juan Carlos
López Calvo, Romeo Jiménez Rodríguez, Víctor García López, Conrado Hernández
Pérez, Gustavo Morales López and Roberto Méndez Vázquez, and accompanied by
some of their militants like Adrián López Velásquez, Cesar Hernández Santiz
from the community Victoria La Paz. Bernardo Román Méndez, Enrique Méndez
Méndez, are from the Miguel Hidalgo ejido. Misael Jiménez Pérez, Vidal Jiménez
Pérez, Marconi Jiménez Pérez from Guadalupe Tepeyac. Ismael Garcia Perez from
San José La Esperanza. And other accomplices who maneuver outside: Gilberto
Jiménez Hernández, Delmar Jiménez Jiménez, Gerardo Hernandez Perez, these three
are paramilitary bosses who operate in Guadalupe Tepeyac.
And others from Guadalupe Los Altos Julio Rodriguez Aguilar,
Carmellino Rodriguez Aguilar, Ranulfo Hernandez Aguilar, and Alejandro Vazquez,
and from San Carlos Veracruz Gaudencio Jimenez Jimenez who works in the
municipal seat of Las Margaritas, Gabriel Grene Hernandez, Isauro Mendez
Santiz, Ivan Mendez Dominguez, Fidel Mendez Zantiz, Alfredo Mendez Rodriguez,
these from Veracruz annex of San Carlos.
3.- Knowing the attitudes of these CIOAQUISTA paramilitary
leaders it is to say the band of the Luises, we went first to the Fray
Bartolomé de Las Casas Human Rights Center, we explained to them the acts of
provocation that they did to us and for Frayba to explain to the Luises and
give the summons with the date March 31st, that there was a first
summons a second and a third, the response was that if the summons is due to
the problems with the CIOAQUISTAS from Guadalupe los Altos, Santa Rosa el
Copan, Diez de Abril, San Francisco, or in San Jose el Puente, that if it is
due to this they do not know about it and Frayba explained about the situation
for the summons and in addition in the specific summons the CIOAQUISTA problem
of the paramilitaries from La Realidad, but they did not show up.
4.- We sent again as a second summons it is through Frayba
and the response was that they are going to come and they never came.
Seeing this with worries we had to go to the Frayba offices
giving broader meaning for the call and for them to go to say to the
paramilitary leaders Luises, up to that third summons they showed up and as a
witness we asked for their presence at Frayba for a peaceful solution and they
put the date which is May first of the present year.
5.- First Roberto Alfaro Velasco arrived who is the
secretary of the CIOAC organization and Alfredo Cruz Calvo the transpiration
secretary, one of them Alfredo Cruz Calvo went out to talk with their
CIOAQUISTA paramilitary compañeros from La Realidad and since he has taught
them their attitudes that was not understood it was what he told us upon his
return with us as a Junta de Buen Gobierno and they gave us the proposal that
one of them is going to go out to talk with the other paramilitary leaders from
La Realidad and this was the trick because he did not go to talk with the other
paramilitary leaders from La Realidad but went to talk with the paramilitary
leaders the Luises, Alfredo returned who supposedly went to talk with the paramilitaries
from La Realidad, now he returned with 15 people to tell us to give Roberto
Alfaro his freedom that is he does not come due to the problem and it is their
proposal that one of them is going to stay to talk with the leaders from La
Realidad.
Once being there their discussion begins clarifying for them
about Roberto Alfaro that he is not kidnapped or detained and the 15 who came
forcing Roberto Alfaro to accept that he is detained and kidnapped and all this
Frayba is a witness, their presence was always there, Roberto Alfaro asked
these 15 to talk with the paramilitaries from La Realidad and those 15 did not
accept, on May 2nd we were coming to an agreement around 5 or 6 in
the afternoon, that the next day we were going to establish another day of dialogue
what those 15 had done with the paramilitary bosses los Luises, they were
already organizing another thing outside, in the afternoon on May 2nd
the Zapatista support base compañeros were arriving in our Caracol to do other
work as a zone and these paramilitaries were already in ambush at the entrance
of the community to attack our compañeros.
The paramilitaries from La Realidad were already organized
and the plan for what they were going to do, they were in 2 groups, one group
at the entrance of the community and another group in the center armed with
rifles and pistols- machetes, clubs, and rocks, before carrying out the murder
they began with the provocation destroying the autonomous school of our support
base compañeros in the community, they cut the water line of our support base
compañeros and of the Caracol center, we just saw it and listened, in those
moments the compañeros were already arriving for other work in the zone,
immediately the paramilitaries from La Realidad went to ambush in the road at
the entrance to the community and they began to attack our compañeros with
rocks, clubs, destroying the windshields of the trucks as they could our
compañeros got out of the trucks and defended themselves, we as a Junta de Buen
Gobierno they gave us the immediate information that our compañeros were
already attacked and other compañeros came out who were in the Caracol doing
work to help them but they could no longer arrive, they were attacked in the
middle of the town with firearms and there is where our compañero José Luis
Solís López fell, zone teacher of the Escuelita for freedom according to the
Zapatistas, he received a bullet in the right leg and another on the right
pectoral with a 22-calibre bullet, with machete strikes on the mouth and they
finished him with a coup de grâce behind the head with the same caliber and
with several club-blows on the back.
We have other compañeros wounded from bullets, from
machetes, from clubs and rocks:

Jimenez Lopes with a bullet wound one on the right leg and another on the left
leg, with 22-calibre bullets.
-Andulio
Gomez Lopez with a bullet graze on the chest, 22-calibre.

Abacuc Jimenez Lopez wounded with a machete on the right arm.

Yadiel Jimenez Lopes machete wound also on the right arm.

Efrain rock wound on the head.

Our compañeros were transferred to our hospital-school La
Primera Esperanza Compañero Pedro, for their treatment.
6.- We emphatically deny that we were armed, if it were like
this the result would be something else, this happened at 8:30 at night on May
2nd.
That band of paramilitary leaders or rather the 15 who were
with us said that they would go out to control their people but none of them
wanted to go out.
7.- Today May 5th we say that the evil government
of Chiapas says that they have detained 5 people one of them is the
paramilitary leader of the CIOAC who is Conrado Hernández Pérez, we do not know
the others, but they do know above all the maximum paramilitary boss Manuel
Velasco Cuello and supreme military leader Peña Nieto knows, but: the criminal
paramilitary murders who took our compañero Jose Luis Solis Lopez’s life and
gave him a coup de grâce are not detained, they continue to be in La Realidad
they continue provoking and will continue because it is the plan of the supreme
paramilitary and the maximum paramilitary in Chiapas and the paramilitary
bosses of the CIOAC.
8.- As you can see in what we tell you, at all times the
Fray Bartolomé de Las Casas Human Rights Center was present. That is why we did
not say quickly our word about what happened. Out of respect for their
mediation and their impartial work, we waited for the Frayba to give their word
as the neutrals that they are in all the problems which are their work. In the
Frayba’s word you can now see directly who is saying lies and where the truth
is, according to the ones who were present and are not from any group.
9.- Now it is clearly seen that everything which came out in
the paid press is a lie. There never was a confrontation. What happened was an
attack against us.
10.- Seeing this whole problem and the cowardly murder of
our compañero Galeano, the Junta de Buen Gobierno decided to withdraw its
participation and we have decided to pass the entire matter to the hands of the
Zapatista Army of National Liberation General Command, so they may investigate well
and for justice to be done. Now it is necessary to wait for what our compañeros
from the EZLN say.
